PHOTOJOURNALISM 
    
​Tim made his living in visual journalism for 30-plus years, winning national and regional awards along the way.
  • 1974-1979 Burlington (Vt.) Free Press
  • 1979-2007 Fort Lauderdale News and Sun-Sentinel 
     He was principal photographer and editor on a portfolio that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and the Robert F. Kennedy Award.  And he was awarded the Sweepstakes Photography honor by the Inland Daily Press Association.
He had won, placed or shown in diverse photo competitions held by the National Press Photographers Association, the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Florida Press Club, and was a New England Press Association photographer of the year.

NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY
   Leaving newspaper work in 2007,
​Tim immediately began shooting flora and fauna, beginning in his own backyard. His cardinal rule was to shoot what he saw, without affecting the scene in any way.
